What is Tixel?

Tixel uses patented thermo-mechanical action technology (TMA) to deliver heat to the skin and stimulate collagen production. When will I see results?

Improvements can be seen after 1-2 treatments, however, improvements will be most visible 3-6 months after a series of treatments, due to the continual effects of the newly stimulated collagen. Depending on the condition of your skin and areas of concern, your treatment provider will determine how many sessions you will need to see optimal improvement.

Maintenance treatments after are recommended, although with longer periods of time apart.

What to expect during treatment

An anesthetic cream is first applied to ensure comfort. After the numbing cream has taken effect, the Tixel device will be passed over the skin with rows of pyramid-like pins pressed into the skin, without breaking the surface of the skin or causing any open wounds. This delivers controlled delivery of heat to the skin with precision in where it’s placed.

Your treatment provider will adjust the levels of heating on the device depending on the skin concerns you desire to target. This is a quick and procedure lasting about 30 minutes, and is relatively painless.

How long do results last?

Results typically last for over a year and maintenance treatments can be done to maintain your results. The increased collagen production will continue to benefit your skin to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles and improve skin texture as well.

Recovery
